Grandmom Dessert has been serving traditional Taiwanese handmade desserts for more than 5 years. This family-owned dessert house is located opposite the post office in Seri Kembangan. With its bright green signs, the small corner is easy to noticeable. The parking spaces are really limited there.
After I walked into the dessert house, I totally fell in love with this place! It was filled with high school memories! Walls, lights, the whole place are filled with the sticky notes written by customers. Most of them are good messages for the dessert house, and there even have confessions! In the dessert house, you can feel like you are in Taiwan because of their decoration and the dessert. When I had done my dessert, I read through those sticky notes and found some very good handwriting and drawing!
Every time I go to Grandmom Desserts, there are always crowded and packed. Mainly because of the hot weather in Malaysia, people have been trying to find some cool desserts and drinks in order to calm themselves down. In addition, grandmother desserts always offer quality ice-shaving desserts at affordable prices, making them ideal for our Malaysian people.
The store has a complete self-service environment; we have to place orders at the counter, wait for our number to be displayed, and then pick up the order at the counter. The price of dessert is quite reasonable - RM6.30 per bowl! The dessert house's signature desserts, including Soya Ice Yu Yuan, Grass Jelly Ice Yu Yuan, Sea Jelly Ice Yu Yuan are all must try desserts that recommend by the customer. Here is the most special is to let many girls crazy "Sea Jelly Ice Yu Yuan", it tastes slippery like Jelly, which can nourish the beauty. I had ordered desserts in the "Best Sellers" category. It come with soy ice, cold powder, and red beans. You can order the best-selling shaving ice and toppings, or match them your way. The best part is of this dessert house are all ingredients are handmade, freshly prepared daily, free of artificial flavors and color preservatives.
Desserts don't taste too sweet and definitely can taste that the Soya Ice is homemade as well. Compared with several other big brands on the market, this is the best brand we can get at such a decent price. Like many other brand, Grandmom Desserts also offer loyalty stamp and cards, from which you can exchange 1 free dessert if you collect 10 stamps in your card.
